Open of a low risk open prison on Coetivy Island
A first cohort of male prisoners was transferred to a rehabilitation program on Coetivy. After a number of years, the operations and the program were reviewed. Inmates were then moved back to SPS Montagne Posee on 9 August 2019.
The prison facility was closed permanently on 1 February 2020.
